Abstract

Learn more about activating a Broker VM with the DSPM Database applet.

Warning

  1. Select SettingsConfigurationsData BrokerBroker VMs.

  2. On the Brokers tab, find Broker VM, and in the APPS column, click + ADD. In the list of applets, click DSPM Database.

    Note

    The applet list displays only the applets for which you have permissions.

  3. Configure the DSPM Database settings according to the following steps.

    Note

    By default, all configured connections are saved.

  4. On the DSPM Database screen, click + Add a Connection.

    Note

    For details regarding the connection fields, see the table above under Database Connection.

  5. In the Database Connection area, do the following:

    1. Under Database Engine, in the list, select either MySQL or PostgreSQL.

    2. Enter the host.

    3. Enter the port.

    4. Enter the database name.

    5. Enter your user name and password.

    6. Click Test Connection.

      Note

      If you get a Test connection failed message, check your parameters and try again.

  6. Optionally, turn on the Enable SSL toggle, which ensures that the connection between the applet and your on-premise database is encrypted, protecting data in transit.

  7. Click Save.

Note

You can add multiple connections under a single instance of the DSPM Database applet by returning to the Database Connection screen and clicking Add Connection.
