Abstract

View and modify the use of security modules used by your device's Cortex XDR app.

All the relevant security modules used by your device's Cortex XDR app are displayed on the Modules screen. Your device only displays the security modules that have been defined for your device by your system administrator. These modules can vary, depending on device type (phone or stationary device), organization-managed or your own personal device (BYOD), and other factors or policies.

Some modules are fully managed by your system administrator (such as the Network Shield module), and some can be activated or disabled locally on your device. Some modules must be activated in order to achieve Fully protected status, and some modules are optional.

  • If a module requires some action on your part, this is indicated for the module, and Activate is displayed. Tap Activate to open an onboarding screen that will guide you through the required steps.

  • If a modules displays Controlled by admin, you cannot disable it.

  • If an active module displays Disable, you can tap this to disable it. We recommend that you do not disable required security modules, because if you do so, your device will not be fully protected.

  • If the Safari Safeguard module is optional on your device, and you activate it, alerts will only be visible locally on your device and will not be forwarded to your organization. If the module is required, and activated, alerts will be forwarded.
