Cortex XDR agent App for iOS Version 9.1
The following table describes the enhancements in this release of the Cortex XDR agent iOS app.
Feature | Description |
|---|---|
Isolation of compromised supervised iOS devices | Cortex XDR agent can stop potential threats from spreading by cutting off network access for compromised supervised iOS devices when the Network Shield is enabled. The administrator can now isolate supervised iPhones and iPads directly from the management console to block all traffic (except vital device management network communication). The iOS device will show clear notifications upon isolation activation, and on the lock and home screens while the device is in this secure state. |

|---|---|

Network Shield module | Automatic registration, facilitated by providing the |
Safari Safeguard module | For Cortex XDR apps earlier than version 8.5.0, an issue in iOS versions 17.4 and higher causes the Cortex XDR agent's Safari Safeguard module, and anything based on Safari Web Extensions, to stop working after a short period of time. Apple has confirmed the issue, but a complete fix resolving the issue has not been released yet. Cortex XDR 8.5.0 includes a fix with a workaround for the issue that Apple introduced in iOS 17.4. With this fix, Safari Safeguard is now expected to work on all supported iOS versions. |
