Abstract

You can add annotations after selecting a row or multiple rows via Bulk Select.

In Cortex Xpanse Expander, you can add two types of annotations from the list view, either Tags or Contacts.

In Cortex Xpanse Assess, you can add Contacts as annotations on Assets in list view.

The following table provides restrictions and recommendations for annotation fields.

  1. Select the row or multiple rows via Bulk Select that you want to annotate, and click Add Annotations.

    The Tags and Contacts tabs are displayed where you can add an annotation.

    The Contacts tab is displayed where you can add an annotation.

  2. You can add the following annotations in the Tags and Contacts tabs tab.

    • Tags tab—(Optional) Specify in the Tags field the tag(s) that you want to add or create. Tags are not case sensitive.

      Note

      Tags are available in other views in 24-48 hours after being added. The changes are automatically applied to any related user-defined Custom Ranges under the selected Parent IP Range. This will be reflected through the count of the IP ranges that will be affected.

    • Contacts tab—(Optional) You can set any of the following annotations:

      -Email—Specify the email address of the new contact that you are adding.

      -Full Name—(Optional) Specify the full name of the new contact including a first name and last name.

      -Role—(Optional) Specify the new contact’s role.

      -Phone Number—(Optional) Specify the phone number of the new contact, including country code and the XXX-XXX-XXXX format.

  3. Apply annotation changes by clicking Apply to X Items.
