Versioning Model

Cortex XSOAR versioning methodology is based on M.N.P:

  • M: major version number

  • N: minor version number

  • P: patch-set number

Releases

  • Major versions: M.x.x. For example, 2.0.0.

  • Minor versions: M.N.x. For example, 2.2.0.

  • Patch set versions: M.N.P. For example, 2.2.1.

Cortex XSOAR 6 On-prem Support and End-of-Life

General Guidelines

You should use the latest releases, as these include bug fixes, performance improvements, stability enhancements, and may include security patches.

Note

You can continue using a version that is end-of-life. However, when encountering an issue that requires Customer Support involvement, you may be asked to upgrade to a supported version before assistance can be provided.
