Set Default Mail Client to Gmail

Perform this procedure if you want to submit feedback to the Cortex Help Center and Gmail doesn't open in your Google Chrome browser.

  1. If you are logged in to Gmail, sign out.

  2. On the top-right of your Google Chrome browser, check your sign in status. If you are signed in, you must sign out.

  3. Open a new tab in Google Chrome.

  4. In the address bar, type chrome://settings/handlers.

  5. On the Protocol handlers page, do the following:

    1. Under Default behavior, select Sites can ask to handle protocols.

    2. Under Not allowed to handle protocols, remove mail.google.com if it is listed.

  6. Open another tab and log in to Gmail.

  7. Click Service handler.

  8. Select Allow, and then click Done.

  9. Go back to the Protocol handlers page, and check that mail.google.com is now the default email.
