Cortex XSOAR 8 Cloud
In the Cortex Gateway, you can create user groups to manage groups of system users or groups, including nested groups and SAML group mapping.
Manage Roles with predefined and custom roles, including permission levels and shift periods.
Set permission levels for Cortex XSOAR components, such as data, jobs, automations, playbooks, and settings.
Control access privileges for specific views and actions.
Note
Predefined roles, including Instance Administrator, Analyst, and Read-Only, with specific access rights, cannot be changed.

Cortex XSOAR 8 On-prem
Similar to Cortex XSOAR 6, invite users locally to access Cortex XSOAR, including a password policy.
Manage Roles with predefined and custom roles, including permission levels and shift periods.
Set permission levels for Cortex XSOAR components, such as data, jobs, automations, playbooks, and settings.
Control access privileges for specific views and actions.
Note
Out-of-the-box roles, including Instance Administrator, Analyst, and Read-Only, with specific access permissions, cannot be changed.
