If I currently have Cortex XSOAR 6 On-prem, what are my upgrade options?
Existing Cortex XSOAR 6 On-prem customers may choose to migrate to Cortex XSOAR 8 for the Cloud or upgrade to Cortex XSOAR 8 for On-prem.

Will existing On-prem and hosted deployments continue to have access to both dev and prod environments after they migrate to Cortex XSOAR 8?
Yes, the dev and prod environments will be supported in Cortex XSOAR 8.
Is migration from single server to Multi-tenant and MSSP supported?
This is considered a complex migration path and is currently not supported.
How often will Cortex XSOAR 8 have new releases? While Cortex XSOAR 6 is still available, how often will it have new releases? What is the End of Life (EOL) policy for Cortex XSOAR 6?
We will continue to release new versions of the 6 product line approximately every 3 months.
We will also release a new version of Cortex XSOAR 8 approximately every 3 months and it will be upgraded automatically.
The End of Life (EOL) policy of Cortex XSOAR 6 is detailed on the Product Support Lifecycle page.
At the end of June 2024, upon completion of the migration of all hosted customers, the current hosted 6 product line will reach its EOL and will no longer be supported for cloud deployments.
We will continue to support the Cortex XSOAR 6 On-prem product line until December 31, 2025 at which point it, too, will reach its EOL.
How long can Cortex XSOAR 6 On-prem and Cortex XSOAR 8 tenants run in parallel?

Engine Upgrades - Will customers have to manually upgrade the engine, whenever Cortex XSOAR is upgraded?
Engine upgrades will be required as Cortex XSOAR upgrades. There might be Cortex XSOAR cloud updates that do not require an engine update.
Will migrated customers with both Dev and Prod get the same setup as in Cortex XSOAR 8?
Yes, they will get one tenant for Dev and one for Prod.

Cortex XSOAR Versions 6 will be released throughout 2023 and 2024, until the scheduled December 2024 EOL. The EOL timeline for all relevant versions continues as before and can be tracked in EOL Dates. For example, the XSOAR 6.9 version was EOL on Nov 1, 2023.
What is the Cortex XSOAR 8 upgrade process?
Major release: Released every 3-4 months. Includes new features, enhancements, and fixes.
Customers are divided into 3 upgrade groups with 2 weeks expected time between upgrades of different groups.
Maintenance release: Released once a month. Includes fixes. All tenants are upgraded together.
Hotfixes: Once a week, for relevant customers. Includes urgent fixes. The fixes are merged into the maintenance release and will be available to all customers eventually.
Is there a customer-based testing group for the upgrades?
Yes, for early adopters, but the list has not been created yet.
If so, is it possible for customers to request that their remote repository system be added to this beta group?
Currently, it is not possible for customers who are using a remote repository system.
