Migrate Cortex XSOAR data to another server in a multi-tenant environment and troubleshoot the migration.
The main server has the host server information. The host server has the tenant information and the main server address. To migrate to another server:
Update the main server address by changing the External Host Name on the main server to the new main server in the new environment. This information will be sent to all the hosts. You should then validate that the new External Host Name appears in the Master account field on the hosts.
Install Cortex XSOAR on the servers in the new environment.
Move the contents of the main server in the old environment to the new server in the new environment.
Shut down the old environment.
Copy the host files from the old environment to the new environment.
Start the servers in the new environment.
The following provides instructions for moving a multi-tenant system to a new server.
In the main server, go to
→ →In the External Host Name field, enter the address of the new main server.
On the host servers:
Go to
→ →Verify that the address in the Master account field is the address of the new main server.
Install Cortex XSOAR on the servers in the new environment.
Copy the following files and directories from the old server to the new server.
/var/lib/demisto
/usr/local/demisto/cert.key
/usr/local/demisto/cert.pem
/usr/local/demisto/demisto.lic
In the host servers, go to
→ →In the External Host Name field, enter the address of the new host server.
Shut down the machines in the old environment.
Copy the following files and directories from the old host servers to the new host servers.
/var/lib/demisto
/usr/local/demisto/cert.key
/usr/local/demisto/cert.pem
/usr/local/demisto/demisto.lic
Start the servers.
Troubleshooting
If a host has the wrong main server address after moving, you can resolve this by creating OTC with the following info:
Hosts: {main: address}
After restart, the host should be updated with the new address.
